Good post Andy,

I think with the likes of Facebook the Key will be in focusing upon the long term potential of such traffic, as opposed to short term conversions (which would appear to be poor),

Great post Andy!

I think many people forget about blogging as a social media tool. I started my prodcuct focused blogs about 18 months ago now. They prove really successful but the majority are long-term plans.

Squidoo is great, Facebook fantastic if you do it right - but there are so many Social Media sites out there at the moment that it's difficult which to use and how.

The secret, to me is to think years down the line. I started my Zune blog about 15 months ago and it does very well - it's just a shame that its not been launched yet. :-(

I've moved my affiliate strategies from short term gains to long-term success. This means lower affiliate incomes over a year but offers great long-term stability - this is something that should be the goal of affiliates these days!

Allthough, I've got some sexy American PPC going on at the moment. "Eggs", "Baskets" etc.
