Digital Affiliate Programme Account Managers Wanted
Company Overview
R.O.EYE is a young and dynamic digital marketing agency. Predominantly offering services within the affiliate marketing niche, we have grown not only to dominate our niche but to define the sector within which we operate. As a function of recent new business wins and a carefully deployed PR strategy, our profile is currently extremely high within our sector. Our clients include eBay, Alliance & Leicester, PC World, Keycamp and Blackwell Books.
Seen as an industry innovator, we are keen to proactively and constantly trial new methods and practices within our total service offering. Coupled with a passionate belief in account management excellence and strategic development, we believe that this is why we enjoy the position we currently occupy within our marketplace. In order to maintain this position, we are looking to build our team by recruiting talented individuals who are serious about succeeding in an online career within digital marketing.
Job Role Requirements
R.O.EYE has historically recruited people from the following five backgrounds and developed them into successful affiliate managers:
1. Graduates of within 2 years with no agency, digital or affiliate experience. They will have worked in another job for the duration of their time since graduating and joining us.
2. Agency employees with a planning and buying media background with no digital or affiliate experience.
3. Agency employees with digital planning and buying background but no affiliate experience.
4. Agency employees with both digital and affiliate experience.
5. Client / merchant employees with digital, affiliate and trading experience.
We do realise that we operate in a niche area of digital marketing and therefore candidates will not necessary have the experience within the sector. In fact, some of our best affiliate managers working on some of the UK’s biggest affiliate marketing programmes did not have direct digital experience. However our training and self determination has developed them to the senior positions they hold today. No matter which of the above you fit into, all of our successful employees have the following strengths:
Have a passion for the internet. Spend a large amount of time using it, developing with it and wanting to spend a career making money from it.
Have a mathematical and logical way of thinking and develop these skills into making sound commercial decisions for a results based organisation.
Want to build a career and a show loyalty to a developing company with a focussed, productive and closely knit team.
Be extremely resourceful, heavily researching and investigating new ways to deliver results for themselves and their clients.
Are confident, can clearly and professionally express themselves to fellow employees, whilst dealing with suppliers and clients individually.
We are therefore willing to consider a range of candidates that fit into the experience and skill set detailed above. This is an ongoing brief and at times we will advertise it more heavily than others, especially when the requirement for resource within our organisation is high. At this present time, we are urgently looking for employees that fit any of the backgrounds above to fill 2 places within the company. Ideally one with affiliate experience and one without.
Job Role Specifications
The level at which you work at will depend on your experience as defined by the experience detailed above in the five backgrounds outlined.
However here is a basic outline of the job specification:
You will be required to work with new suppliers who own websites to drive customers to our client’s websites. A large part of the role is using your initiative as well as online knowledge to recruit and optimise these suppliers. Full training will be given.
Work with clients to create, develop and deliver their affiliate marketing strategy. This will include regular client telephone conference calls and meetings.
Work with our Technical and Data support departments to create tracking and reporting for our client base. We also produce reporting for our top suppliers so identifying this need and delivering on it will be essential.
Job Role Salary and Benefits
Again this depends on the level of experience and which background as detailed above that you fit into. Entry level salary for graduate begins at £17,000. Moving forward, salary is judged on the level of input, commitment and results generated by the individual employee. We pay our employees fairly and above market rate. We do have an annual bonus scheme and this can be paid in addition to salary for over performance. We also have monthly company nights out, paid for by the company. Mobile phones, laptops, cars and parking spaces are offered to senior staff depending on seniority. We also have a company health insurance scheme.
What do we need from you?
A covering letter explaining why you are interested in this role along with your CV is essential in order to progress to consideration. The covering letter should reflect on the backgrounds and your experience as listed above and then examples of how you meet the specifications will also be beneficial.
